Cranio-sacrale energy work
Cranio-sacral therapy is practiced on a large scale around the world and is becoming increasingly popular with a large number of people. It is a gentle but powerful way of working with the body. I use the cranio sessions / energy work according to the method of my teacher, who learned this therapy over several years from a Tibetan monk.
During your first session, we will take an anamnesis and clarify the reasons for your visit. In the cranio session you remain clothed lying down, either on your back or stomach, relaxing. Your body reacts to my touch / impuls and thus activates your self-healing powers.
This energy work mainly takes place in the area of the skull, neck, hyoid bone, thorax, spine, sacrum, diaphragm, pelvis and feet. In addition, all organs and systems can also be treated. The movements and impulses generate pressure fluctuations in the cerebrospinal fluid and are passed on through the meninges and spinal cord membranes in the body. A session typically lasts an hour, but the duration can vary.
Use and Effect
The Cranio Session supports your body’s ability to balance, restore and heal itself. It helps reduce stress and build up your original energy. Tensions in the body are felt and gently brought into relaxation.
A session can bring calmness and energy as well as greater clarity and well-being. Some clients find that they benefit from regular treatment over a longer period of time. They report about physical or emotional stability, but also about being more self-confident and having improved their life quality. As part of the healing process, there is an occasional brief adjustment period after a session during which you may become more aware of the symptoms. In the case of long-term problems, further sessions and other types of therapy can be helpful.
What was originally cranio-sacral therapy?
Cranio-sacral therapy means: skull-sacral therapy and is an alternative medical form of treatment, which was developed through osteopathy. Cranio-sacral therapy was originally developed by the American doctor and osteopath William Garner Sutherland from craniosacral osteopathy. The cranio-sacral therapy used today in the West was developed by the osteopath John E. Upledger in 1983. During an operation, Upledger discovered the rhythmic movement of the dural membrane (outer meninges) with a frequency of about eight pulses per minute and explained this discovery with the basics of craniosacral osteopathy. From this he further developed the cranio-sacral system. The basis of his treatment technique is examination through touch. It has been further developed to this day.
